The reason why use bolt tensioner instead of hydraulic torque wrench is because of the accuracy.

Bolt tensioner is direct to pull the bolt while hydraulic torque wrench is tighten the nut on the bolt.

The difference between bolt tensioner and hydraulic torque wrench is the work object different. When the hydraulic torque wrench tighten the nut on the bolt there will be force of friction between nut and bolt.

Sometimes the working condition is not like above case. For example, the space have limitation at the height, width. At this time, the supplier need to offer customer customized bolt tensioner.

If the distance between two adjacent bolt is too small, but the tension require higher. The normal standard one stage bolt tensioner can not reach the requirements. A customized multiply-stage bolt tensioner need to be offered. The pictures as below: height no limitation, but the width have limitation.
